Moderate Resorts
The Moderates are the next price level for Disney resorts. The moderate resorts are Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, and Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter. Main details about each resort are as follows:
Caribbean Beach

- o Pool- One large themed pool & each building has its own quiet pool: The large themed pool is shared by the entire resort. It resembles a Spanish Fort. It features waterslides, a waterfall, and water cannons. The smaller pools service each building/area of the resort
Coronado Springs

- o Closest Park- Animal Kingdom

- o Room Size- Approximately 314 square feet
- o Most rooms have two double beds
- o Theme of Resort- Southwest/Mexico
- o Food/Dining- Food Court, counter service restaurant, lounge, & sit-down restaurant
- o Pool- One large themed pool & three smaller pools: The main pool is the Mayan Pyramid pool. It is themed after an ancient Mayan Temple. It features a water slide, children’s pool and sand box. The three smaller pools service each building/area of the resort.
Port Orleans French Quarter

- o Pool- One large themed pool: This pool features a serpent water slide, and alligator water fountains.
Port Orleans Riverside

- o Theme of Resort- Southern US/Mississippi. Buildings are set to resemble southern mansions
- o Food/Dining- Food Court & sit-down restaurant
- o Pool- One large themed pool & five smaller pools: The main pool is features a water slide, kiddie pool, and a geyser. The five smaller pools service each building/area of the resort.
These resort rooms are bigger than the values and offer a few more amenities. These resorts each have a unique theme to them, but not quite as over-the -top as the Value Resorts. Again, themed pools can be found on each property. Rooms will cost anywhere from $149 - $240 depending on your vacation season. One extra note is that Coronado Springs has a convention center and thus can have more crowds at its resort at certain times of the year than the other moderates.
