    Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Animals, both real and imaginary, have played a major role in the success of the Disney empire, but the launch of two new nature documentaries, Earth and Crimson Wing, marks a new “green” phase for this company. Back in the ’50s, Disney’s so-called “True Life Adventures”, like The Vanishing Prairie and The Living Desert, were […]

    Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Whether you are a kid or a kid at heart, Disney’s Bolt offers two impressive messages about the responsibility of owning a pet. One of the lessons is pretty obvious, but the other is more subtle and when I realized the meaning behind the words, hit me like a … bolt.  The creators of the movie […]

The tireless and creative candy production staff at Disneyland produces literally tons of candy for Christmas. Next week, we’ll check out the process for making homemade candy canes, but for now, we stopped in the Hunny Spot in Critter Country. There, they were making all the different candy apples that make up a big part […]

Holidays bring extra magic to Disney World

    Friday, November 28th, 2008

Never mind the fact we were splashing about in the hotel pool earlier in the day. Snow, albeit man-made, is falling on Main Street U.S.A. at the Magic Kingdom, one of Walt Disney World’s four theme parks. Kids are reaching into the air grabbing at flakes, smiles plastering the faces of both young and old. […]

But once he’s whisked off the stage, what happens? […]
